Town of Huntington
The Town is located at the western end of Suffolk County adjacent to the Nassau-Suffolk County boundary. It is approximately 40 miles from Manhattan and 40 miles from Riverhead, the Suffolk County seat. The History of Huntington is closely associated with the early development of the American colonies.
Huntington Parks & Recreation
We have a wide variety of recreational programs for our residents of all ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens at our town operated facilities, parks and beaches. From instructional programs and sports leagues to public ice skating and summer camps, there is something for everyone. Huntington Senior Division / Human Services
The Town of Huntington Senior Division delivers services, programs, support and advocacy to independent Huntington seniors (age 60 and older) at the Senior Center.
Village of Huntington Bay
Huntington Bay, situated on Long Island’s North Shore within the Town of Huntington, was established in 1924 and currently boasts a population of 1600 residents.Nestled along Huntington Bay, which connects to the Long Island Sound, the village offersstunning views of Connecticut’s southern shores from its beaches.

Libraries
Huntington Public Library
Huntington Public Library (HPL) exists to serve the 34,000 residents of the Huntington Public Library District. HPL is a school district public library, a non-profit organization and a member of the Suffolk Cooperative Library System.
South Huntington Public Library
The South Huntington Public Library was founded in 1961. Voters approved the new library district in May and by November, the community’s first public library opened in the basement of the Central Elementary School on New York Avenue.
Half Hollow Hills Community Library
The Half Hollow Hills Community Library is a public library system serving the residents of the Half Hollow Hill School District in New York.

The Heckscher Museum of Art
The Heckscher Museum of Art is an American art museum. It is named after its benefactors, Anna and August Heckscher, who in 1920 donated 185 works of art to be housed in a new Beaux-Arts building
Huntington Historical Society
The Huntington Historical Society has been the focal point for preserving the ongoing heritage of the Town of Huntington, New York for over 120 years.

Nature, Parks & Beaches
Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve
Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve, offers miles of bridle paths, walking, jogging, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and nature trails over acres of woodland, meadows, rock shoreline and salt marsh.
Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge
Acquired in 1967 as a donation from the Eberstadt family, it protects 80 acres on the north shore of Long Island in the Village of Lloyd Harbor, 25 miles east of New York City.
Crab Meadow Beach (Town Beach)
Crab Meadow Beach, also known as Town Beach, is a public beach in Huntington, New York, managed by the Town of Huntington.
West Neck Beach (Residents-Only)
West Neck Beach, located in the Town of Huntington on Long Island, is a residents-only beach. Access is restricted to residents of the Town, who can obtain seasonal permits for $40.
Huntington Trails Guide (Town Environmental Open Space Program)
